The Blitzz #NEvTFC #TFC #NERevs Season Summary

This Saturday (4/9) Toronto FC (1-2-1 4pts) will be at Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Revolution (1-1-3 6pts), the match is set to kick off at 4pm et.  CSN-NE is the channel, while 98.5 FM and 1570 AM have the radio call.  Be sure to call in at (855) 728 7500 for the Sports Hub’s post game show.

TFC are currently just below the red line in 7th place and coming off of back to back shutout losses.  The latest coming at the hands of the Rapids.  New England on the hand is coming off their 1st win of the 2016 season, a 1-0 result at home versus the New York Red Bulls.  Diego Fagundez scored the game winner for the Rev’s with some controversy after the ref decided to not stop play after a Red Bull defender had gone down w/ an injury.  The Red Bulls would go onto finish the match w/ only ten men.  The Revolution have gone undefeated against TFC in now 7 matches  (5-0-2).


New England 2016 Season Summary:

Opened the season away at Houston and played poorly on defense, settling for a draw.  Hosted DC in their season opener but the attack came up dry, 0-0 draw.  Went to Philly and poor play from Watson, including a red card resulted in a 3-0 loss.  Played away at NYC and earned a solid road point.  Finally, 3 points at the expense of the Red Bulls in a not so stellar performance otherwise.

Absences: Injuries-Questionable Darrious Barnes (NE) and Tsubasa Endoh (TFC)
