Undefeated in last Seven

The New England Revolution are now undefeated in their last seven matches.  The latest win came at the expense of D.C. United, coincidentally the last team to beat them.  The final score was 2-1 with Mullins and Fagundez once again finding the back of the net.  Fabian Espindola was the goal scorer for the D.C. based club.  After a scoreless first half the goals came pouring in along with the rain. Jose Goncalves started once again after making his return to action the week prior. Kelyn Rowe however remained on the bench to start this game once again.  Also Bobby Shuttleworth returned to man the net after missing last weeks action with a head injury.  With the win NE is now five point clear for first place in the East heading into Montreal and are in the midst of one of the greatest runs in team history.  Despite allowing the very first goal of the season at Gillette, the team still boasts the best home goal differential with a plus ten, four goals clear of the next closest club (SKC).  They are also in the thick of a three team race for the supporters shield, picking up two points against both Seattle and Real Salt Lake in this weeks action.
